Full Blast Creative's Month in Review - July 2022
We are back for another Full Blast Creative monthly recap: Summer Edition! July is a month full of life and energy in Calgary and our team had a great month with the infectious energy that could be felt both inside and outside of the office. After two years of hiatus, it was great to be a part of the 2022 Stampede celebrations again this year. We also onboarded new clients, launched new websites, and in short, July was a month of great vibes all around! Here's what we got up to last month.

SAMRU's Event Rentals Ready to Go
The Students' Association of Mount Royal University was in need of a new and improved website for their event rentals subsite and we were happy to deliver! Our team built out the new website from scratch while working closely with their team to gather content and finalize details with a focus on improving the user experience across all devices. The new website now features a much more user-friendly interface with high-traffic items near the top and a gallery featuring video and image assets that allow users to better visualize the space and how their event will look. We're pleased to hear that spaces are already booking up quickly with the easy new system!

A New Website As Beautiful As Their Garden
Building the new website for the Columbus Botanical Garden (CBG) was a unique challenge, partly because of the number of third-party integrations that they were required to continue using from their previous site, most of which were built by a previous development team. Our awesome development team wasn't troubled by it though—if there's one thing our team loves, it's a good challenge!
As part of the web build, our team had to work with several client-preferred tools and platforms at once, all while keeping their past data intact. At the same time, we also completely refreshed and rebuilt their site from the ground up, giving them additional platforms to collect donations, volunteer information, purchase merchandise, order event tickets, and more. The result: a beautiful new look as lovely as their grounds that not only elevates their eCommerce platform but also improves user experience.
Following the build, our team made it a priority to ensure full mobile responsiveness, set up SEO optimizations, and make any necessary tweaks to guarantee a smooth launch. But our work doesn't end there! We continue to monitor and optimize the site to make sure that everything is running at its best!
Photography Road Trip
Field photography—aka "on-site photography"—is a specialty of ours here at Full Blast Creative! Our photography team is willing to travel to any client's location in order to gather great on-site photos and videos, whether that's in Calgary or the surrounding area. The month before, we travelled out to Leduc, Alberta for a product photography shoot (read all about it in our previous Month in Review!), and this month, we met our clients at Eisses Windows on-site at a recent Calgary job. With a new library of high-quality service photos, Eisses Windows has plenty to choose from whenever they choose to expand their website, advertise their services online, or invest in promotional material! At FBC, our high quality equipment is portable and ready to go if you are in need of some great on-site photos. Reach out to us today!
An FBC Stampede
Yahoo! July is Stampede season in Calgary, and the Full Blast Creative team just had to partake in the Best Outdoor Show on Earth and the festivities. After a hearty pancake breakfast, our team set out to the Stampede grounds to watch the rodeo, explore, and eventually end the night with a drink (or three!) at the National Stampede tent. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, it was great to make memories with everyone again, playing Cornhole, soaking up the sun, and snacking on tater tots. We can't wait for the next one!

New School Year, New Look
Our clients at Pleasant Heights After School Care (PHAS) was desperately in need of a brand refresh and an updated website. We gladly took on the task, starting with an update of the brand's logo and colour palette, and were happy to officially launch their new website at the end of the month!
The PHAS website build was an intensive one, including new plugins to facilitate digital signatures on their registration form to offer an easy and secure way to apply for PHAS's after school programs. Along with a playful palette to reflect the company's background and values, hand-drawn illustrations and icons, and several pages detailing the many programs offered, this was a fun build that featured the many fun and childlike elements that is reflective of what can be expected at PHAS itself. We're so grateful to have been a part of this exciting build and launch!
